The Trust promotes animal welfare and the prevention of unnecessary suffering arising from animal experiments. It strives to educate the public in the moral and scientific arguments, for and against animal experiments; undertakes research into new techniques and alternatives to the use of animals in medical and other research; and regulatory compliance with the law in this field.
