To promote appreciation and understanding of 19th century english arts and artefacts by undertaking research, by supporting exhibitions, publications, lectures and workshops. To advance education and knowledge by supporting centres of teaching of art and by providing financial assistance to students, and provision of scholarships and bursaries.
