To preserve and protect human life and to alleviate suffering by supplementing and supporting local and national governmental bodies, the emergency and other services, including voluntary, in primarily but not exclusively the West Yorkshire region, and adjacent counties, in particular but not exclusively by providing equipment, vehicles and suitably trained operatives.
