For the benefit of the people of Bangladesh and of such other countries as the Trustees may determine, the CIO acts to prevent and relieve poverty, advance education, prevent and relieve sickness and advance and preserve health, and preserve and conserve the heritage craft of traditional boat making, particularly in Bangladesh, for public education, by the provision of grants, or services.
