Advocates for and disseminates information about geological collections, museums, curation etc. Holds meetings, seminars, workshops, field trips to bring together professionals in this field, to share and promote best practice. Gives advice on geological matters to individuals and government bodies. Publishes regular newsletter and journal and distributes to profession.
