The objects of the CIO are:-To relieve the blind, or visually impaired, or those labouring under some temporary or permanent incapacity or disability which makes reading either a strain or impossible, in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas, by the provision of recorded material and the equipment with which to listen.
